“Hello there! My name is Luna. I’m an 11 year old girl in need of an adoptive home. Have you ever heard of a Bikki Bear? Well, that’s what I am-someone intentionally bred a Bichon, King Charles Cavalier, Maltese and Lhasa to make me. I weigh about 9 pounds and I require regular grooming to stay looking like my best self!

“I have lived my life as an only dog. I’ve been a best friend to my humans and I was all they needed. This doesn’t mean I cannot live with another dog but I’d like the dog to be friendly and give me time to settle in. I can get a little nervous around a hyper dog! I’ve seen cats but I have never shared my home with them. I just ignore kitties when I see them. I have been around a lot of children and they are enjoyable as long as they don’t pull or sit upon me. I don’t think that’s too much to ask!

“One could consider me a young senior. My humans will tell you how spry I am. I handle stairs easily, I hear and see well and I can manage a few hours between potty breaks at this time. I love to run around my fenced backyard and go for 1-2 walks a day. A home where people will continue to get me out for exercise is my wish! I always go out on leash when I’m not in a fenced yard.

“When you must leave the house, I’m ok with that. I just find a spot on the couch to hang out on. If you need me to crate, I can do that but I’d rather not have to stay in a crate for long hours. I am a good girl who will just need some time to settle into my new home.

“Like most dogs, I will bark to alert you that a visitor has arrived. I keep a lookout for squirrels and other critters outside and I’ll be sure to let you know about them. I will join in a chorus of barking when I hear dogs barking outside. In other words, I’m a dog who barks. I share this with you now so there are no surprises!

“My people have loved me well. They will tell you that I am a soft, cuddly girl who is the perfect companion. I love sleeping in the bed with my humans and hope to find a home where I can continue to do so. I can be playful or just chill out, this is the advantage of adopting a dog my age!”
