Maggie

Maggie is a 12 yr old Dachshund that has to be one of the sweetest dogs ever!  Seems she is always happy and wants to be part of the family. She is wonderful with other dogs, walks well on a leash, and has no reaction when she sees other dogs on her walks. At home, she is quite the couch potato but she is very enthusiastic about her walks. She is very overweight, weighing 24.5 pounds and will need someone willing to take her on walks at least once, preferably twice a day.

She had horrendous teeth and just had 21 removed, she will be feeling better soon and we expect will have even more pep in her step than she already does. She is house-trained.  She is able to go up and down a few stairs, but will not try going down a full flight. This may be due to her being overweight but this breed and stairs don’t always “mix”, because of their short legs and long bodies.

She has been in the car for short trips and did well in the doggie car seat. We feel she would be a great travel companion, she truly loves everyone she meets. This old girl deserves to spend the rest of her life being spoiled and showered with love, are you the one to provide this to her?
