Maggie

8 year old Maggie loves people and attention!  She has a typical Malamute personality, a very sweet girl but also likes to be independent and aloof when the mood strikes. Maggie is an 85 pound Akita/Malamute mix-what a beautiful combination!

Maggie enjoys being with her human pack. She enjoys receiving belly rubs and cuddles. Maggie enjoys walks several times a day, checking out the neighborhood.  She is good in cars and will be happy to join you on all your adventures!

Maggie has done well with older kids, though she does like to put her paws up on people, which is why it is best that she is not in a home with small children. Maggie prefers to be the only dog in the home. Her foster has indicated she likes to play with other dogs but may be selective of her canine friends. Larger dogs with a calm personality would be a good match.  If there are other dogs in her future home, it will need to be a slow introduction and reassurance that she gets attention when she wants it.

Maggie’s dream home would have a big, fenced yard to relax in and enjoy some quiet time. A home where she is allowed to be inside with her family and lounge around would be wonderful.
