Max the chihuahua is a tiny boy at a 3.5 pounds. Because he was originally a rescue dog found “stray”, his true age is unknown but the belief is he is about 10-12 years old.  Max loves toys. We are told he will “adopt” them as he will play with a toy, then take it to bed and tuck it under the covers with him. Adorable! Max has lived with another small dog and he is said to be good with other small-medium sized dogs. He has been disinterested in the neighbor’s cat. Because of his size and age, a home with older children would be best for Max.

Max can stay alone for a work day, using potty pads as needed. He can be a bit of an escape artist, looking for holes to squeeze through in fences so he needs a home with a solid fence or kept on leash while outside. Not much exercise is required for Max, he’s happiest just being with his people or cuddled up in some blankets on his bed. Sweet Max hopes to find another home where he’s allowed to sleep in the bed with his person at night. Max is hoping to find a new home soon.

He is currently living in Poulsbo, WA.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
