Mistic is a female blue heeler mix, about 14 years old and 42 pounds, surrendered to the shelter after owners lost their home.   Mistic is very affectionate and well-mannered. She is generally quiet, but will definitely let you know when she wants some attention or needs a potty break. While she does like to relax and lie around when she’s in a lazy mood, she also loves her walks and play time (she’s excellent on-leash!) and has plenty of energy and vigor. She checked out fine at the vet for her age, and seems to be in really good shape. Her previous owner reported that she gets along with other dogs and cats. She’s done great with the other pooches at the shelter. She knows basic commands, seems to be totally housebroken, and has not had any accidents in her kennel.

Mistic can be a little reactive when startled or scared, so a home with small kids would not be a good fit. She also has a food allergy, so will need to stay on a chicken-free diet. Other than that, there’s not anything”bad” to say about this adorable sweetie!  Mistic is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, and up-to-date on her shots.

If you would like a petite, cute, happy older pup to add to the family, stop into CARES or call about meeting Mistic!

She is posted for the Burien CARES shelter, 909 SW 151st St, Burien WA, 206-812-2737.

THIS IS NOT AN ODH DOG; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
