Meet Moe! Moe is a male lab/chow mix, about 16 years old and 66 pounds, who was surrendered to CARES due to his owner’s failing health. He is in relatively really good shape for his age, and checked out fine at the vet.

Moe is fixed, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is partially blind, but still hears pretty well. He does good with certain other dogs, and is very independent, but also loves head scratches and snuggles when he’s in the mood. He is fully housebroken and hasn’t had a single accident in his kennel.

Moe is a sweetheart and generally has an adorable “semi-grumpy old man” personality. He is surprisingly active and energetic for his age, and while he does like lying around and relaxing, he also will need plenty of daily exercise, attention, and affection. He does great on-leash and absolutely loves his walks (and will sometimes drag you down the street if you let him!).

Moe does have certain sensitivities (i.e., doesn’t like parts of his neck and hind end touched, and can be easily startled at times due to his eyes), so a home with small kids wouldn’t be a good fit.

All in all, Moe is a big goofball old pooch in evidently great shape for his age, and will make the perfect addition to the right home–so stop into CARES or call about meeting him today!

He is posted for the Burien CARES shelter, 909 SW 151st St, Burien WA, or 206-812-2737.

THIS IS NOT AN ODH DOG; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
