Momma Maia

Introducing Momma Maia, a sweet, 9-year-old PitBull/American Staffordshire Terrier mix, who is as gentle as she is strong. At 55 pounds, this lovely lady is a true shelter volunteer favorite and an absolute love!

Maia is gentle and loving. She is a true cuddle queen who thrives on affection and companionship. She’s a bit timid with new people, but with calm movements and kind words, she’ll quickly warm up and be your best friend.

Maia is smart and treat-motivated. She loves her treats and is eager to please! She’s quick to learn and is already house-trained with a doggy door. Maia is active and fun-loving. Whether it’s a walk, a trail adventure, or a game of fetch, Maia is ready to join in! She’s also a pro at tug-of-war and loves to spend time in the yard.

People are Maia’s passion, and she has a gift for sensing when someone needs a little extra love. She’s a true companion who will always be there to lend a comforting paw.

Maia needs an active family. She would do best in a home with an active lifestyle. She’s strong and energetic, so a family that loves adventure and can keep up with her would be ideal.

Maia has not lived successfully with other dogs and is not fond of cats. She would love to be the Queen of her castle, and a secure, fenced yard is a must to keep her safe (she’s known to escape from unsecured yards). She is kid-friendly (age 13+) . Maia is great with children 13+ who are kind and dog-savvy.

Maia is the perfect companion for someone who can give her the love and attention she craves. With her gentle nature, strong bond with people, and zest for life, she’s ready to make someone’s home complete.
