Mr. Higgins

“Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Mr. Higgins and I am hoping to find a forever home. I’m only 9 years old. I enjoy going for a walk every day and I’m a good boy on leash. I live with another dog right now; when I meet new dogs, I like to bark at them – but in a friendly way! I will admit to being a little overweight right now; I weigh about 26 pounds. I am a sheltie with one blue eye and one brown eye and lots of people comment on how handsome I am. I need to go out to potty about every 4 hours, that’s not so bad is it? I mean, really, who wants to wait longer than that to have to do their business? If you have a job where you’re away from the house longer than that, maybe you have a dog door I could learn to use? Just know that I do like to use my voice (bark) so if you have neighbors that won’t appreciate that I’m probably not the best match for you. I’m a nice dog and I like nice kids. I don’t know anything about cats, never seen one, but I may bark at them like I do when I meet dogs. I hope to find a person who will love and appreciate me soon.”
