“Hi! I’m Murdoch. My human calls me a social butterfly but I’m really an 85 pound German Shepherd and Husky mix. I am only 9 years old. I am a very good boy who loves getting attention from people. My person calls me empathetic which is another way to say I’m sensitive and in tune to his emotions. My human needs to re-home me. He is sad about it but it is necessary so I’m here to say if you are looking for a new best friend:  “Pick me, Pick me!”

“I have lived with another dog all of my life and I do well with new dogs when I meet them too. I have never lived with cats. I wouldn’t mind being the center of your world but if you have kids who are gentle and like to pet me, that would be OK too!

“My person has crate trained me. When he leaves I stay in my crate and can manage a bit before I require a potty break. He will tell you I like being outdoors and while I certainly appreciate walks, I don’t want to be left outside alone. That’s no fun for any dog! I will bark a “hello!” to passersby outside.

“At this point in my life I can do stairs. I have not had a lot of vetting but I have had some shots. My adopter should be able to take me to the vet and keep me vetted regularly as I advance into my senior years. I’d like to think we can be together for many years if I am taken care of! I promise to make it worth it for you!”
