Niki came into a shelter quite thin and lonely but with lovely manners and that beautiful face. We had bloodwork done which suggested Cushings disease or primary liver disease, and when she was settled into an ODH home we started diagnostics and treatment. Over more than a year, this pretty girl with the hound voice was a happy part of her ODH family but treatment didn’t make the difference we’d hoped. She reacted badly to the Cushings medication, her liver disease progressed, and her hind end became much weaker.

When she couldn’t stand without help her ODH dad said goodbye. She was a very good dog and will be missed a great deal.
