ODH Home Needed for Rowdy – Shih Tzu Mix Boy

PERMANENT ODH FOSTER HOME NEEDED: Shih tzu mix (with terrier?), 10#, not yet neutered male. This little guy has had a happy home that couldn’t afford really any care at all. He came into a small rescue after owner sent to friends who neglected him really badly. He’s now had a complete checkup with labwork and xrays that show hip dysplasia and arthritis as well as spinal problems which make his hind end VERY weak and painful; watching him try to get around is sad. We can help him a good deal but he will always be wobbly with decreased proprioception in his back legs – enthusiastic however! He has a moderate heart murmur, is missing many teeth, skin is much better now after some good care (flea treatment helped!) and his labwork is remarkably normal. The rescue reports that he is VERY polite, very quiet and easy to handle, a sweet sweet guy who seems to bechousebroken though he does need a home with no cats. We will of course want him neutered ASAP. He needs to get into a loving ODH home and get started on help for his back end. Please let us know RIGHT AWAY if you can help him.
