11 year old Pepper is a super cute, 15 pound Lhasa Apso. Pepper’s entire life changed when her people became too elderly to care for her. She was used to being the only pet in her home, cherished and doted on. Pepper is hoping to find another home like this!
Currently Pepper lives with a dog, 3 cats and children. We’re told she’s fine with other dogs once she’s given time to meet the other dog. She’s passed 2 temperament tests for doggy day care! Pepper has ignored the cats in the home she lives in now. She prefers older kids who will be respectful of her.
Pepper loves to go for walks. She does pull on leash so one must be strong enough to handle that. Pepper can do stairs at this time but she does have a touch of arthritis now. Stairs will more than likely become harder for her as she ages. Thankfully she’s small enough to pick up and carry! Pepper takes an anti-inflammatory when needed for pain.
Pepper can manage about 6 hours without needing a potty break. She has been crate trained and is OK to stay home alone. Pepper loves lap time and going for car rides. Doesn’t she sound like a really nice girl?
Pepper is going to make someone a very nice companion. She’s waiting in Everett, WA. for her forever home.
