What a darling girl Pokey is! She is a 13 year old, 12 pound Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix. Pokey has lived with other dogs and done fine with them. She has never lived with a cat but is said to be O.K. with cats. Pokey is good with kids too, as long as they are gentle and kind to her. Currently Pokey goes for quite a long time without needing a potty break – of course as she ages that could change, just as with people. She is fine staying alone for a work day. Pokey is described as “a quiet, mellow dog who is easy to care for and doesn’t require much work”. She still enjoys playing and it may be very nice for her to find a new home with another friendly dog to keep her company. Pokey does not need a lot of exercise but she probably would enjoy getting out for some fresh air. She is said to do well on leash and she can manage stairs too. Pokey does receive daily eye drops. Her hearing has diminished some and she does have cataracts but reportedly she can still see. Pokey sounds like a delightful dog: well-trained and loves humans and other animals alike. She will be a wonderful addition to a lucky family. Pokey is in Seattle, Washington and in need of a home very soon.
