Found a safe place
Sweet Precious, who was we believe a border collie/heeler mix, landed in a big shelter at age 13; her lifetime family who had moved all over the country with her was deployed to Germany. She had to be carried out of the shelter to her Final Refuge familys car moving was difficult for her and she was very depressed but adapted quickly and responded to the love and comfort offered to her. Sadly, after only 10 days in that home she suffered a rupture within her gall bladder and was far too weak to go to emergency surgery. She was loved and is remembered with affection sometimes all we can do for these lovely old dogs.
