Ready for a new home SOON - sweet girl
“Hi there! My name is Raylan. You are seeing me here because I need a new home ASAP.
My family keeps growing, and now they are moving. Please don’t judge; just tell all of your friends about me, OR if you are looking for a fun, new family member yourself, maybe you’ll consider me.
“I am a 12-year-old girl who weighs about 15 pounds. I am a little on the chubby side, they say, because I like cookies so much! My people can’t say for sure how much I weigh because it’s been a couple of years since I saw a vet. This means-you guessed it- I need a home with someone who can provide veterinary care for me for the rest of my life.
“When I was a wee puppy, my family found me abandoned in a dumpster in Texas. Rough start, but I have lived life on a farm, with lots of hikes and other animals around. It’s never boring here, and I hope to find a home where I can continue to remain active. I walk about 2 miles a day, and when I’m attached to a leash, I do well. I love chasing squirrels and exploring. When I move to my new home, please keep me safe. I hear there are coyotes and other dangers out there that could be a worry for me.
“I have lived with another dog but need time to warm up to new ones. I’m too smart to be accepting right off the bat! As long as a dog doesn’t mess with my food, I can learn to be buddies with them. I have not lived with a cat but when I’ve come across them, I don’t care much about them. Ducks, chickens, and turkeys have been part of my daily life, and I don’t bother any of them. I live with children and I have been a good girl around them. I do prefer the kiddos who are gentle and kind. I LOVE a good belly rub!
“No doubt all of my activity has helped keep me as spry as I feel. I have to keep up with my humans! At this time, I can manage stairs. We spend a lot of time outside. I enjoy riding around in the golf cart so if you want a ride-along buddy, I could get used to riding in a car too. At night, I sleep in my bed in the pantry. Maybe I can move into a bedroom at night with my new family?
I am not a needy girl; however, I hope I am shown patience and compassion with my move.
“When I must, I can “hold it” for a few hours. I can stay alone at home but I do take my job of watch dog seriously. I bark when people come to the door. So far, I’ve kept my family safe!
