8 year old Roma is a beautiful girl who weighs 77 pounds. She will steal your heart! Roma is loving, energetic, playful and very, very loyal. When she arrived at the shelter she had a ruptured cruciate ligament in her rear left leg and her mobility has improved as a result of conservative treatment. This is what Roma’s foster family has to say about her:

“While Roma won’t be able to be a running companion, she has no trouble taking walks, climbing stairs and making sure your yard is free of squirrels, bunnies and crows. Hummingbirds, however, are her friends and she loves to watch them at the feeders! Roma enjoys being able to look out windows to watch for people who may be coming to visit her for love and cuddles or to warn you about any neighborhood cats who may be thinking about trespassing.

“Roma also has a special talent of knowing the time. She will let you know when it’s 5:30 pm, her feeding time, without fail, every day. Don’t let those ice blue eyes scare you, this girl is nothing but love! Roma is at her best in a calm, predictable home and she is hoping for a committed family that will love her for the rest of her life. We think that this girl deserves that and so much more! Roma doesn’t enjoy small dogs or cats so a home without them will be a must. She may do well with a large, mellow, male dog.”

A meet and greet will be required with the resident dogs of any potential adopters. Roma is posted for the Everett Animal Shelter located in Everett, WA.

*Roma is NOT at the shelter. She is in an Everett Animal Shelter senior dog foster home. If you would like to meet Roma please submit an adoption application to to easseniordog@gmail.com. You can find applications on their website, www.everettwa.gov.*

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
