We don’t need to tell you how adorable Roxy is! This 12 year old, 6 pound long hair chihuahua is a fun little girl who is looking for a home without young kids. Roxy will nip at toddlers and would be so much happier without one around! Roxy has lived with another small dog but she is scared of big dogs. She has never lived with a cat.

Roxy is dog door trained but of course, one would want to be sure there are no predators around to snatch her if she went outside unattended-this is a small dog! Roxy can do stairs and we are told she loves to play ball and run. She is not fond of leash walking. This smart girl does tricks for treats! Roxy is accustomed to being crated but ideally, in her new home, she would not have to be crated as often as she has been recently.

Roxy will bark at delivery trucks and let you know if anyone is outside when she’s outdoors. This means apartment life or a place where neighbors would be bothered by her barking would not be suitable. Roxy would be very happy with a lap to warm and to cuddle in bed with her person at night.

A home with someone who can afford her lifelong vet care and grooming is important for Roxy. Her friend Lulu is up for adoption as well. If an adopter could afford to give both dogs a home, that would be nice. Roxy is accustomed to canine companionship.

Roxy is located in Everett, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
