Ruby

Check out Ruby, an adorable 8 year old dachshund mix who weighs 26 pounds. Ruby is a low-rider, with a great big personality!

She loves her daily routine in her shelter foster home. Ruby is great with cats and gentle kids. Ruby would best enjoy a home that understands big hearts can come in small packages.  Ruby is a member of the solo pup club-this means she wants to be the only dog in her home.  Ruby was adopted out and then sadly, returned to the shelter because she paid too much attention to her adopter’s bird.

Ruby made new friends while spending time in her shelter foster family. Here’s what her foster family has to say:

“Ruby has definitely become cuddlier and wants to be more involved with us lately. Ruby is a young senior who wants to go out on long walks. She does great on car rides so if you wanted to go hiking with her, she would love that! Ruby gets along great with our cats.”

Ruby posted for the Kitsap Humane Society located in Silverdale, WA.  She is at the shelter now, hoping for her adopter will come for her.  If you are interested in Ruby, please email adoptions@kitsap-humane.org for more information.
