Sid, a very sweet lovable husky, was about 14 when his owners finally stopped bailing him out of the shelter and ODH was asked to take him in for the end of his life. His ODH mom says he is always smiling. When he cam to ODH he had very bad teeth & was skin & bones. He was very quiet, slept in the living room, almost acted confused. He had his teeth fixed and put some weight back on. He figured out this was his new home and started following his ODH mom and the other dogs around – and decided to sleep in the bedroom. He got along great with the other dogs and didn’t know he had a tumor on his liver. He still felt like a youngster and wanted to run on walks even though sometimes he then needed up the stairs. A funny boy, he would spend time looking at himself in the mirror in the bedroom. Maybe just like us, wondering how he got to be this age?

Sid’s body gave into the tumor suddenly, after being dressed for the obligatory holiday pictures. He left memories of a beautiful and joyous old dog who was much loved.
