Starlight

“Hello, my foster family calls me Starlight because it promises a bright new chapter and they happen to think I’m a little piece of cosmic magic brought down to Earth with a radiance that cannot be dimmed. I tend to agree, and I love the idea of being a luminous energy that has arrived to lift the spirits of everyone around me.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I’m 11 years old and ready to retire in peace as the undisputed queen of my castle. I am a beagle who came to rescue overweight, but I am slowly slimming down. My last weight was a little over 35 pounds. I look forward to spending my golden years being pampered and adored. After all I have been through, I deserve it!

I’m searching for my forever home where I will be the only pet, as I do love being the center of your universe. An adult-only home, or one with older children, would be ideal … a family dynamic that aligns with my appreciation of a calm and serene vibe.

I don’t really need a fenced yard for romping, as long as you don’t mind taking me out on leash to do my business. I enjoy spending my time curled up on the couch or sprawled out in my comfy bed, close to my people. I take my relaxation very seriously and I am an expert couch potato, with a little play time here and there to rip the squeaker out of my stuffed toys.

I am a wonderfully independent soul, and I love to turn every walk into my own little exploration of the world. I guess you could say that I’m a free spirit. I simply ask that you honor my rhythm and allow the adventure to unfold naturally. Some days, I will happily trot along for miles, and then there are some days when I will suggest that we skip the long walk and settle into a Netflix binge or some Zen music.
