Stella

Stella is a 10-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and plenty of life left to share. At just 10 pounds, she’s the perfect little companion for someone looking for a loyal best friend. Stella is ready for a quiet, patient home.

Stella is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, and potty trained. She came into rescue after the heartbreaking loss of her owner and is still adjusting to the big changes in her life. Some days are easier than others, but through it all, Stella continues to show just how loving she is.

Once she feels safe, Stella is incredibly affectionate and loves giving kisses. Like many dogs who have experienced loss, she tends to bond closely with her favorite person, but she enjoys everyone in the household.

Stella would thrive in a calm, quiet home with a predictable routine and few visitors. She can be fearful in new situations, so she needs a patient adopter who will give her the time and understanding she deserves. She’s currently living peacefully with a dog and a cat and does well with both. Because of her sensitive nature, an adult-oriented home or one with older, respectful children would likely be the best fit.

Her favorite place in the world is the backyard, where she can soak up the sunshine and enjoy the fresh air. Afterward, she’s more than happy to come inside for a cozy nap. Stella also enjoys leisurely trips to the park.

One thing to know about Stella: she’s not a fan of the kennel. She much prefers being near her people and relaxing in a comfortable spot at home.

Stella has already experienced the loss of her beloved owner. Now she’s hoping for a second chance at love and a forever family of her own.
