Stewie
A happy member of his new pack!
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
This handsome little guy has been through much neglect in his life but brighter days were in store for Stewie. His foster mom tells us about his new life in his forever Old Dog Haven home.
“Stewie came to live with me about two months ago. He was definitely a scruffy-looking dog with spotty hair, spotty skin, a hairless tail and long skinny legs. It is hard to know his parentage but definitely a mix.”
“He was adopted from the shelter but his adopter needed to rehome him as she could not cover the ongoing vet care he needed. Old Dog Haven was contacted after shelter staff determined Stewie was not a suitable candidate for adoption.
“Fast forward a couple of months and Stewie has settled in. Coming into an established pack was good for him. The other dogs received him well and they are all a blended family now. Stewie loves to play with his ODH foster sibling, Jo and enjoys exploring the yard. He attached himself to me right away and often likes to hug my legs as he sits next to me on the couch. Old Dog Haven is so amazing for providing all the vet care, medications and support to the dogs and their foster parents.”
With such a dedicated foster home, this lucky boy will always have the ongoing care he needs to stay happy and forever comfortable.
