Tully – Taiwanese Street Dog
Shy boy needs help
PERMANENT ODH HOME WANTED: Tully is a neutered male Taiwanese street dog who weighs 48 pounds. This beautiful fellow came from a bad situation and is slowly getting past his shyness, but still needs a patient home that can help him gain confidence and trust. Tully has spent a few months at the shelter, gaining some much-needed weight. He has arthritis in the hind end and needs a dental. Cataracts prevent him from seeing very much, though he sees some light. This, along with his sad past, could explain his lack of confidence in a new situation, of course. Tully’s bloodwork was quite good, his heart and lungs are good.
Tully is not interested in other dogs; he shows no aggression towards them. Shelter staff and volunteers love Tully. Trainers at the shelter say he is not a fearful dog; he is a shy dog. We are told it takes a few visits for him to warm up to new people. It is truly rewarding to help a dog who has once been shy and insecure blossom into a trusting, happy dog! If you have patience and enjoy working with shy dogs, we’d really like to hear from you. We want to help Tully out of the shelter and into a home he will never lose.
