11 year old Tazzy is described as “SUCH a wonderful dog who deserves the very best”. She is a 60 pound yellow Labrador Retriever who is a retired hunting/retrieving/pointing lab. Tazzy’s caregiver met her during a job and knew he needed to help her find a home as she wasn’t going to have a bright future staying at the kennel she lived at.

Currently Tazzy lives with 5 other labs. When we asked about how Tazzy is with other dogs we were told she is social, peaceful and that there’s not a dog she doesn’t get along with. She’s gentle with children who are respectful of her. Tazzy has never been observed around cats.

Tazzy’s caregiver works from home and Tazzy certainly appreciates that. She’s dog door trained to go out to potty and does just fine coming in and out of the house as she desires.  When the humans leave the house Tazzy must be kenneled as she does get anxious and will chew things up when left in spite of the company of the other dogs. Tazzy can manage quite a while without needing a potty break.

Tazzy enjoys daily walks and playing fetch. She can handle stairs at this time. Tazzy does have some arthritis in her knee and hips. Her caregivers (who really qualify as her rescuers in our opinion) have had Tazzy fully vetted and spayed recently.

This very nice, very pretty girl surely does sound wonderful! Tazzy is ready for her adoptive home. She is posted for her caregivers, located in Vancouver, WA.  For information, please email referrals@olddoghaven.org.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
