“Hey there! My name is Trix. I am a 9 year old girl in need of a new home. My breed mix is anyone’s guess. I weigh 43 pounds. Maybe I have some labrador, but my cute upturned nose and funny mouth gives me a different look. I have these teef that make people smile when I show them! When people talk to me I tilt my head, I want to give you all of my attention!

“I have lived with the same family since I was a tiny puppy. They are so sad to give me up but life changes can mean new beginnings. The hope is that I can find a new family to love and keep me forever. Once I am adopted and settle in, I hope to be the best dog you ever had!

“I have lived with other dogs and been fine meeting new ones. Of course I’d hope that any new dog I live with can accept me and be nice. I have not lived with cats so I can’t say what I’d do around one. Older kids are fine,  I want to be treated with kindness.

“My family will tell you that I am a pretty chill gal. The only time I can get cranky is when my food is taken from me. But really, who likes that?! I occasionally get the zoomies! While I haven’t had many walks I sure do like to get out for them. Maybe you have more time to do that with me? I will be good on leash for you.

“If you have to leave the house, I will be a good girl. I have lived indoors all of my life, having out inside the house and that is what I want to continue doing.  If you have a dog that I can hang out with, that could be nice as that’s what I am used to.  I’m not much of a barker. I do very well waiting to potty but as I get older that could be harder. No one wants to hold it a long time!

“At this time I can still do stairs. I do have some allergies and it would be nice to get some relief from those.  While I am up to date on my shots, I do need an adopter who can vet me thoroughly because I’m a senior gal. We seniors need more veterinary care. It would be great if whoever adopts me can afford to help me be as comfortable and healthy as possible. This is what all dogs need-old and young!

“While it will be a big move for me, I am ready to start my new life in my new home. So if you are looking for a forever family member, maybe you will consider me?”
