Tucker
Very sweet boy who enjoys walks
12-year-old Tucker is an adorable, well-adjusted fellow who sounds like a terrific dog. He was purchased from a breeder as a puppy. He has papers that state he is an Old English Bulldog. Tucker weighs about 45 pounds.
Tucker has lived with other dogs, cats, and kids and done well with everyone. While Tucker does not currently, his family believes he’d love to live with another dog again. The great thing about a senior dog like Tucker is that they enjoy time to play with their canine friends, but they also know when it is time to chill out and relax. A dog friend who could match Tucker’s energy would be wonderful for him. Tucker used to play with the cats that were once in his home, and he’s been a good boy with the family’s children, who have been kind and respectful of him.
At this time, Tucker manages quite a while between potty breaks. Every so often, he has an accident when he is expected to wait too long. Ideally, he won’t have to hold it so long between breaks in his adoptive home. Senior dogs often need more frequent potty breaks-just like humans do! Tucker’s hearing is not as sharp as it once was, which is something we see often as dogs age. His people tell us he follows some hand signals. When he was younger, both of his ACLs were torn, and his family had them surgically repaired. We are told his mobility is fine and that he can still manage taking stairs.
Tucker enjoys going for walks, though he does not go for many at this time. He can pull from time to time while on leash, but perhaps with a no-pull harness and more outings, he won’t be inclined to pull. Tucker sounds so sweet. We believe he will want to please his new people and do his very best to show what a good boy he is!
Due to family changes, Tucker needs to find an adoptive home by the end of February. We would love to help him do that. If Tucker is not the dog for you, perhaps you know someone who would appreciate all he has to offer and give him the forever home he needs?
