Meet Tug, affectionately known as Tuggy. She is 11-year-old, 75 pound German Shepherd Dog/Chocolate Lab mixed girl who is most devoted to her people. Her beautiful Tri-brown coat is movie star perfect!

This amazing 11 year old is still a very spry, gal. Tug was adopted in May and the belief was that her dream had come true as she had been at the shelter for years. Unfortunately, her owner passed away recently and she is in need of another loving home. Tug kept her owner going through a devastating cancer diagnosis post-adoption. She was his world; they were a beautiful team. Now, Tug is ready to find an adopter she can devote herself to again.

Tug is an older dog that has a complete clear bill of health. The only thing she takes daily are her doggy vitamins. Of course she love treats too but she needs them in moderation. Tug is a simple girl only needing a couch, a yard and someone to give her lots of belly rubs and pets. She is the best companion! You will not meet a sweeter, kinder soul. She is extremely cuddly and loves nothing better than snuggling on the couch. Tug enjoys sleeping with her owner in bed. She likes learning tricks and knows many verbal commands including sit, down, spin, under and shake.

Tug does need to be the only dog and a country setting would be best fit! She needs a quiet area, not a lot of stressful traffic noise. Tug is not a barker, she only alert barks to let her people know when someone has arrived. A home with a fenced yard is required for Tug.

Tug previously lived with cats but it was noted that she did not bond to them and would growl if they were in her space.

Tug is currently in foster care but she cannot stay much longer. The hope is that she will avoid going back to the shelter.
