Vlad, a 9-year-old, 100 pound German Shepherd, is eagerly waiting for a forever home to call his own. Despite treatable medical issues and a history of neglect, his resilient spirit shines brighter than ever.

This dear boy is a gentle soul with an endless capacity for love. He’s a loyal companion who craves human connection and is ready to dedicate his heart to a family that will cherish him. He is gregarious in spirit, and his eyes light up during outdoor adventures or when someone invites him in for a cuddle. Vlad has lived with both cats and dogs.

Vlad is seeking a patient and loving home where he can thrive. A family that understands the beauty of second chances and is willing to provide the care and attention he deserves. While he appreciates calm environments, he also needs a fenced backyard to explore and stretch his legs because even though he is closing in on his senior years, this dear boy still loves to romp with his toys. Vlad has an autoimmune disorder for which he takes cyclosporine. His adopter will need to be able afford his veterinary care and stay on top of his chronic ear issues.
