Wiley sounds like the perfect dog!

This 10 year old Australian Cattle dog weighs 40 pounds. He is good with other dogs, exhibiting submissive behavior when he meets new dogs. Of course we’d hope he would only meet and live with nice dogs who will be welcoming! Wiley has never lived with or been observed around cats. He has been a really good boy with children. Because he is a senior dog, a home with kids old enough to know to be gentle and kind would be best for Wiley.

Wiley loves activity! His day should include daily walks. He enjoys camping and hiking. We are told he is good on leash. He knows basic commands: “heel, stop, sit, lay down”. Wiley is well behaved while out and about. If you are a couch potato, Wiley is not the dog for you! He sure sounds like a fun dog.

When his people leave the house, Wiley is crated. He can manage quite a while between potty breaks. As dogs age, it is harder for them to manage a full day without a potty break. Wiley sounds like a dog who could perhaps join his person at a dog friendly office or place of business where dogs are welcome? Wiley barks only when other dogs walk by the house but he is otherwise not a barky dog.

Wiley can manage stairs with no issue at this time. He enjoys time outside in his fenced yard when he’s not out for adventures with his people. Wiley loves his people and given time to bond with a new human, he will follow you around. If you are looking for a friend to help get your daily step count up, Wiley may just be the one for you!
