Wilson is longing for a quiet adoptive home. We are told he is 12 years old and that he weighs 12 pounds. His people report that he is a chihuahua terrier mix. We can’t see the terrier in him but we think he sure is a handsome dude!

While he’s lived with other senior dogs, Wilson prefers to be left alone by other dogs. It is unknown if he has ever lived with or even been around cats. Wilson is all about his people! He is good with kids that are at least 10 years old. Wilson will get your attention by jumping in a circle or standing on your leg. He is a tail-wagging, loyal and loving friend!

Wilson is a snuggler who loves to burrow or look out the window and watch the world go by. If the sun is out, Wilson will find it and bask in its warmth. He knows what the word “bedtime” means and he will walk into his kennel and get cozy when it’s time to retire for the day. Wilson sounds like a very smart dog. He knows many verbal commands.

Wilson is accustomed to being left home during the day and behaves himself when his humans leave the house. He will find a comfy spot on the couch to lounge and bonus if there’s a blanket left for him to tuck himself into! He can manage quite a while before he needs a potty break. Wilson is described as a “moderate” barker which means one should not have neighbors that could take issue with a dog who will bark.

A home with carpeted stairs or none at all would be best for Wilson as we are told he can struggle with stairs that are “slippery” or wood stairs. While he is good on leash we are told he is leash reactive to other dogs when he’s out on his walks. One would think because he is so smart and treat motivated, his leash manners could be worked on. His people believe Wilson would enjoy a home with a securely fenced yard to get out in. Wilson is said to be a fantastic ride-along-in-the-car buddy.

Doesn’t Wilson sound like a terrific dog? He is ready for an adopter that will keep him for the rest of his days and continue to give him the care he has had with his current family.
