New foster, Sarge tells us about his Old Dog Haven journey and why our #GiveBIG fundraiser is so important to dogs like him!

Hello to old dog lovers everywhere!

My name is Sarge and my tail can’t stop wagging because I am so excited to share the news that I am officially an Old Dog Haven final refuge dog. Last month, I found myself alone in a very crowded shelter and just because I am pretty old and have some health problems, I was worried I would never find a home. The shelter was full and they said it was urgent that they find me a safe place to go.

What I didn’t know was that Old Dog Haven had heard I needed help and had found me a family that would love me unconditionally and would take care of me for the rest of my life.

I now live with some very lovely people who take me for walks, pay attention to me and give me medicine to treat my health problems. I also have lots of old dog friends and a soft, big bed which is my favorite place to nap the day away. I am having so much fun with my new family and I am so thankful there are so many kind people who know that old dogs need loving homes too.

That is why #GiveBIG is so important to dogs like me. #GiveBIG is one of Old Dog Haven’s largest fundraisers of the year and the donations received will allow them to continue helping unadoptable senior dogs get the care they need and find happiness with their very own families. There are many more old dogs waiting for their chance at a new beginning and we can help make that happen!

On behalf of Sarge and senior dogs everywhere, help us come together and #GiveBIG on May 2nd and 3rd.
