Hugo

“Hi there, my name is Hugo and I’m a good boy that is somewhere in the age range of 12 years. I’m ready to find my forever place with a special person who is home most of the time and who will treasure and fuss over me! I get along with other dogs and even cats but my true love is always a person.

“I like other mellow dogs of all sizes but mostly I’m interested in being with my human and enjoying good food and naps. I just had my teeth cleaned and am feeling great! All my lab work looked good, but I do have some common and manageable old age issues; mostly I just need a regular schedule to go out in the yard, since I’m not always perfect with potty habits. I am a champ at wearing a belly band if needed though! I don’t see or hear as well as I used to. Arthritis medications have helped me so much that I even run around the house now wagging my tail, with ears cutely flapping as I go.

“I have lots of personality, they tell me! I can be a bit overly attached, so I have medications for when I feel anxious occasionally. But what would you expect, after all, I’ve been through a lot of scary stuff lately until I landed with the pug rescue folks! I sleep quietly all night on my own bed. Paws crossed that I can find just the right forever home with a sweet senior pug lover!”
