Cappi aka Cappuccino

What a delightful girl! Meet Cappuccino, aka Cappi. Cappi was rescued 8 years ago as a puppy when she was being sold in a parking lot. We are told her human always said: “Life is better with Cappuccino!” She has been a faithful, loving, and devoted friend to her person, but sadly her person can no longer care for her; they have dementia and have been placed in a memory care home. Cappi is now in need of an adoptive home.

Cappi is currently overweight; her last weigh-in at the vet was 72 pounds. She’s a lovely lab mix. With regular exercise and a healthy diet, Cappi could be on her way to her best health. Helping her slim down will not only help her move better but also feel better.

While Cappi has lived as an only dog all of her life, she has been friendly and even playful with dogs her age. Cappi has never been observed around cats. A home with children aged 10 and older would suit Cappi. She will bark when people arrive at her home but settle down once she meets the visitor and is given positive reinforcement for her good behavior.

Cappi’s accustomed to having someone to hang out with during the day. Long hours alone could be hard on her. We are told she has been fine to stay alone when she needs to, managing a few hours between potty breaks. Of course, she should be given time to settle into a new home and new schedule. At night, Cappi sleeps on her dog bed.

At this time, Cappi can do stairs, but we are told she can’t handle multiple flights of stairs.

Cappi enjoys two walks a day and time outside in her yard. Cappi “smiles” as she rolls in the grass. She is good on leash and enjoys time to take in all of the smells and explore. But her favorite thing to do is be with her person. She loves her stuffed toys and receiving affection. Once she gets to know you, she loves you, and we bet you will love her too! Cappi sounds like a great dog.
