Oh this boy has such a sweet, frosted face, doesn’t he? His name is Acebud and he’s a yellow lab/golden retriever mix who is 11 1/2 years old. We are told he weighs 75 pounds. He appears to be a bit overweight. Acebud needs an adopter who will help him get to a healthy weight.

Acebud is described as “the best companion; well-behaved, loving and quiet”. He has lived with another dog in the past and we’re told he does well meeting new dogs. Acebud has lived with cats and is fine with gentle, respectful children.

Acebud has not had much vetting in his life.  As with any adoption, one should be prepared for lifelong veterinary care. His owner states they’ve noticed no glaring health issues but it’d be in Acebud’s best interest upon adoption to go in for a full senior exam with lab work. We know that Acebud’s company will make this worth your while!

Acebud can manage quite a while without needing a potty break at this time. He does well inside the house while his people are gone and he can still manage stairs. Acebud is a smart boy who is good on leash, he loves his walks! He will happily join you for 1-2 walks every day and he loves to play fetch too. Acebud enjoys the water as well. He IS a retriever, after all!

Someone’s going to be very lucky to make Acebud part of their family. He’s waiting in Anacortes, WA. for his adopter.

This is not an ODH dog; we urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
