Annie

Little Annie the bichon frise came to ODH at the age of 15 – her owner had dementia, the daughter caring for them both was overwhelmed, Annie was very confused. Her ODH mom made an incredible effort to help Annie adjust to a totally different life, with even enough patience to get her housebroken again. Annie did some hiking (both on her own feet and in a sling), visited family, in short had great experiences and was surrounded by love and care in this “bonus year”. Late in her 16th year her body simply gave out and she was sent on her way with much love – a beautiful girl who will be remembered with a smile.
