9-year-old Asher is a very handsome fellow. He is a 68-pound yellow lab and American Foxhound. Asher has decided he would rather not live in a home with children, so we hope to help him find that home!

Asher has lived with other dogs his size and smaller. We are told he is good with other dogs, but he will bark at cats. He has visited a home with a cat but never lived with one. His behavior may bother cats, so our suggestion would be that Asher have a cat-free home.

This boy has so many things going for him! He is very smart. Asher knows many verbal commands. He went through 2 years of training, learning to find and search! If you are a person who enjoys an active, intelligent job and finding things for them to do, Asher could be a good fit for you.

Asher is kennel-trained, managing quite a few hours between potty breaks. He has been fine staying alone in his home when his humans leave the house. Of course, he should be given time to acclimate to a new home and routine. We would all hope for that if our lives suddenly changed dramatically, right?

Walks are appreciated by Asher and enjoyed by the person at the other end of his leash because of his training. Asher loves to play with his toys and fetch too. He can do stairs without a problem at this time. When it’s time to relax, Asher is good at that too. He loves to sit and receive affection from his humans. He will bark when he sees strangers outside but he is good about stopping when he’s told to.

Asher is described as “a very sweet dog who will fill his owners with absolute joy”. This awesome dog is ready to complete an adult-only home.
