11 year old Bailey is a very sweet, 82 pound rottweiler mix. This girl has been bounced around a lot through no fault of her own. Bailey is now ready for a lifelong commitment with people who will certainly feel fortunate to do so!

Bailey has lived with other dogs and done well. Bailey prefers mature dogs like herself and the same goes for kids-children that are 12 and older are best. Bailey prefers a more relaxed homelife than one with the energy young dogs and young kids create. Bailey has lived with cats. She sounds like a well socialized dog.

We are told that Bailey is taking an anti-inflammatory to help with her arthritis. This should be continued as should a plan to help her lose weight. She has been to a vet recently but has not had a follow up with lab work, this should be done whenever a dog is on a prescription for an anti-inflammatory drug. As we stress with every adoption, veterinary care should be afforded by an adopter.

Bailey is good on leash and appreciates 2-3 short walks a day. She is well behaved; not much of a barker. Bailey can stay home when her people leave the house and manages a few hours between potty breaks. Because of her arthritis and extra weight, stairs can be hard on her but she tries her best. A home without too many stairs would be kindest for her, especially as she ages.

When asked to describe Bailey, her person says that she is “super relaxed and a happy dog. Bailey is a low maintenance companion.” Bailey is ready to join her true forever home!

Bailey is located in Tacoma, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org

This is a courtesy post. Bailey is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
