“Hi there! My name is Bailey. I find myself in need of a new home. Makes me and my family very sad.  I am a 10 year old pitbull. I am a plus-sized beauty at this time, I weigh 85 pounds. No doubt I could stand to lose some weight; perhaps my new people will help me slim down?

“I have lived with another dog in the past, he was young and a male. We played together but I told him what was what when I needed to, and he listened! I have had playdates with other dogs who were all male; I’ve never been around another female dog. My people think it’d be best for me to live with another male dog; they think that would make me happy. If you have a friendly dog who is mature but can still be active at times like me, perhaps we can be buddies? I do not appreciate anyone trying to take my bones or toys though, so I’d rather not have a dog who will bother me when I enjoy them. I have not had issues with the cats I have lived with. I do not appreciate when young children tease me! But who likes that? I’d rather not deal with young kids because they can be unpredictable.

“If you have to leave the house for a bit, I’m alright with that. Of course, I’ll need time once I move to settle in and understand you will be returning. I don’t do a lot of barking; I hear that is considered “a plus”. At this time, I can manage quite a bit between potty breaks if I have to but I’d rather that not be a regular occurrence. I am dreaming of a home with a fenced backyard I can go out into and enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the outdoors when I wish to.

“Walks are fun! I am good on leash, though keep in mind, one should be able to manage my size and strength. Getting out regularly will help me become more fit. While I can manage stairs, my people will tell you I may have arthritis. Joints can get achy as dogs age. If we don’t get help for that and become too heavy, life can be pretty uncomfortable. I ride well in the car, I get into my kennel, and off we go! I love trips to the beach.

“I am a sweet, well-mannered girl who loves attention. I hope to find someone who will appreciate me for the nice girl that I am and all of the love and loyalty that I will offer to my new family.”
