Solo
Ready to join your family!
Hi there! My name is Solo. I just turned 8 years old, and while that makes me a “senior”, my lab genes mean I am still an active fellow. I am a solid fellow who weighs about 80 pounds. My lifelong humans are moving, and I need to be rehomed. I am hoping to find a new home very soon!
I have lived with other dogs and done well with them. Cats and gentle kids are fine with me, too. I am hoping to find a family who will let me stay in the house with them when they are home. I have spent most of my time either on an enclosed porch or outside in the yard. I would much rather be inside the house, hanging out with my people!
Once I move to my new home, I’ll need to get acclimated to being an inside dog and going out to potty in the yard. I have been very good about “holding it” when I have had to. I bark to let the humans know when someone has arrived at the house. That’s what we dogs are supposed to do, right?
My new family will need to be sure I’m up to date on vaccines and vet care. It’s very important, especially now that I am a senior, that I receive regular veterinary care and good-quality dog food. This could help me stick around for years to come. I have so much love and loyalty to offer!
It would be awesome to have people who will take me out for daily walks and time to play outside. My people will tell you I’m great on leash and ride well in the car. I’d love to come along with my new family on adventures. I am a happy, friendly, loving boy who is ready to start the next chapter of my life as a cherished family member.”
