Bane is an adoptable sweet and well mannered 8 year old, 95 pound Malamute and Husky mix who is very smart. He prefers being outside where he can sniff, explore and watch the neighbors. However, he does prefer a big yard with a tall secure fence because he has learned how to jump over short fences and even how to open gates.

Bane has a large vocabulary and knows: sit, stay, leave it, wait, stop, shake, speak, lay down, belly rubs, bring your bowl, turn and let’s go for a walk. Being a typical Malamute, if he decides he is not in the mood to participate in his human’s commands he will lay down and do the “I am a rock” pose until he gets his way.

Other mellow dogs, both big and small are always fun to play with, but Bane prefers to go home to his quiet house where he does not need to share his humans. He also enjoys playing with children, however they should be older and sensitive to his size and age.

Long car rides, especially if they lead to a hike or camping, make Bane happy. He walks well on a leash and enjoys several short walks or a long walk daily. At the end of a busy day he will relax in his crate near his people or snuggle on their feet. His future family should have the time to keep him company, be outdoors, and be active with him.

Bane is posted for the Washington Alaskan Malamute League located in Puyallup, WA. For more information about Summit and adopting him, please email: wamal@wamal.com
