“Hello! My name is Beau. I am a 9.5-year-old German Shepherd.

The shelter scale is broken but the folks say I weigh between 95 and 100 pounds. I was brought to the shelter because my family was breaking up. My younger sister Ezra was brought here too. The nice people here thought they would adopt us out together. I love my sister, but it appears my sister no longer wants anything to do with me!

I get along with other medium-large breed dogs, but I will need a home with NO small dogs, cats, or chickens!! I do have a prey drive and tend to go after small animals. I would be best suited for a home with older kids, as I do not care for my personal space to be invaded for long periods of time.

I know most basic commands and am a pretty well-mannered boy. I was used to having 5 acres to roam on, so I am not super great at walking on leash. I had been living mostly as an outside dog, but I am potty trained. I am ready to leave that lifestyle of being stuck outside FAR behind!

I am very friendly, but I do have boundaries. A home with someone kind and familiar with my breed would be best for me. My sister and I were bred in Europe and brought to the United States as puppies. Maybe there’s someone out there who cares about such things? I just want to find a home!

I am already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, now ready to find my new loving family!”
