From her foster mom:
Sweet Bella Luna wound up in a shelter and looked a real mess with severe skin and possible eye issues. When I saw her picture I totally fell in love. I didn’t even read about her, just saw her picture and fell in love.
A wonderful transporter met me in Federal Way and brought me Bella Luna straight from the shelter. Bella wasn’t sure what was going on, taken from the shelter, riding in one car and then moved to another car, but she settled right in for the ride home.
Bella has skin (yeast) issues (most of her lower body fur is gone), cataracts, severe ear infections and she WAS skinny. I say was because she isn’t anymore! No one in this household stays skinny!
Bella has seen the vet twice and had an eye appointment thanks to Old Dog Haven, so she could get the veterinary care she really needed. It turned out that she can see fuzzy shapes out a portion of her left eye and is blind in the right. Even with these limitations, she does very well getting around. Her hair is even growing back!
I don’t think I could have received a better dog! Someone has trained her, and loved her. I could talk about Bella forever – she really is a very sweet dog.
