“Hi! My name is Billie and I’m a sweet, happy, 10-year-old spayed female cattle dog mix with the most soulful eyes you’ve ever seen…come on, look into them and I dare ya not to fall in love with me! That’s just what’s happened to my foster mom, who wanted to keep me–but she can’t ’cause I just won’t stop chasing her old cat. She even tempted me with hot dogs and cheese…but nope! Not nearly as tasty as watching that feline make a beeline for the hole in the fence!

I found myself homeless after my owner passed away, but the good thing is when he died I was freed from the carport where I’d been chained for most of my life. But it didn’t make me less sweet – I still love people, other nice dogs, and I’ve discovered how awesome COUCHES are, too. I am now looking for a home where I have a fenced yard to sniff around in, maybe another canine pal to hang with, and lots of walks – ’cause I love to GO…in the car, around the block, wherever! I’d make an awesome companion for another active senior.

Here’s the physical stats: I weigh about 65 pounds, have a coat that will need some regular brushing, and am on carprofen for an old foot injury that’s now healed but sometimes causes me a little pain. I also take a very inexpensive medication for old lady incontinence, so that’s no problem either. But I am joyful and mellow and still have some gypsy in my soul. Wanna be friends for life?”
