Little Bindi was found abandoned in a box with her siblings. She was taken to the shelter, where staff found that she was very shy and needed more medical help than they could provide. The shelter contacted Old Dog Haven and ODH found a home for Bindi and her brother Irwin, who also was in rough shape.

Bindi struggles with chronic IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) and she is hypothyroid. After months of medicated bathing in her Final Refuge home, her skin is now much healthier. She is a sweet little dog but will only allow her ODH mom to handle her at home. Bindi is mostly frightened by everyone else. One has to wonder what kind of home she and Irwin came from as he tends to be more anxious and barky.

Bindi and Irwin do play together and it’s obvious the way they do it that it’s a “dance” they’ve done for many years. They are both always gentle with each other during play, and it is heartwarming to see senior siblings at play. We are happy Bindi has her forever home with the heated beds she enjoys and lots of blankets to burrow into. It’s a good retirement home for her!

Update:  After a wonderful 4 years, Bindi’s health finally failed her so her loving family had to say goodbye.  She was a very special girl and will be greatly missed.
