“Hi, my name is Bishop. I am a 12 year old, 15 pound Rat Terrier hoping to find an adoptive home and soon. I had a home with someone who gave me back to the people that bred me. The breeder then gave me to someone else. I am not doing well here because life is not as it once was. These people are nice but they have kids and they leave things out that I can get into. I’m not accustomed to that. Because I’m getting into things, I’m having to be crated or leashed up in the house which makes me cry. Eating things I shouldn’t is not safe for me.

“I am good with other dogs as well as cats. I’ve been good with the kids here too but as I said, kids have a tendency to leave things out and that gets me in trouble so I should go to a home without children. I truly am a nice boy who misses sleeping in the bed with my person. I’m a very loving, cuddly boy and I just want to find the right home, for forever now.

“No one seems to remember when I was last to a vet. This means, whoever adopts me should get to a vet, have me checked out, make sure I’m up to date on my shots and then be able to keep me current on my senior vet care as well as good, quality dog food.

“I love going for my daily walks. I get 2 walks a day and I am great on leash. I can manage stairs and can “hold it” for quite a while before I need a potty break. I will bark when people walk by the house or knock at the door-that is my job as a dog, after all!

“If you are looking for a forever friend who will give you hugs and happily keep you company, I’m your fellow! I ask that you commit to me forever though as the thought of having to adapt to home after home is sad for me.”
