Bodie is a fantastic 8.5 year old boy! He is a 154-pound Great Dane/lab mix. Bodie is a friendly boy who has lived his life with 2 other large breed dogs. Bodie has lived with a cat and been ok with other cats. He is described as being “so sweet and has the kindest soul”. Bodie has done well with humans of all ages. Of course we’d want him to only be adopted to a home where the children have been taught kindness and respect to animals.

Bodie has a best friend named Murgatroyd who is a female pitbull/lab mix. While the family will adopt the pair out separately because time is short to find homes, if someone is looking for 2 mixed large breed dogs, these best friends would love to remain together!

At this time, Bodie is not up to date on vaccines. His adopter should be willing and able to take him in for vetting. We are told Bodie can still manage stairs, but we remind folks of his size and the fact that he is not a dog who could be carried up and down stairs if he became unable to climb them. Bodie is accustomed to having his animal buddies for company when the humans must leave. He reportedly can manage a while between potty breaks.  Ideally, Bodie won’t have to hold it too long, especially as he ages.

Bodie hangs out on the couch during the day and cozies up on his dog bed or on the floor at night. He rarely barks but when he does it is to alert his humans. Bodie is a lot of dog to manage on leash but we are told he does OK. He is a very obedient boy who wants to please his people.

This gentle giant loves people. His family cannot say enough good things about him. They are sad to part with him and it is our hope we can help Bodie find the very best forever adoptive home.

Bodie is located in Kingston, WA. For contact information please email: referrals@olddoghaven.org
