“Hi everyone! My name is Murgatroyd! I’m a 9.5 year old girl looking for a home. I weigh 70 pounds. My people say I’m a pitbull/lab mix who loves everyone!

“Me and my bestie Bodie need to find an adoptive home very soon. While we’d love to stay together, we understand the reality is, finding a home for 2 large dogs who don’t “match” is difficult. Bodie and I agree that we’d rather part ways then go to a shelter where we could be split up anyway.

“I have lived with Bodie, another dog and cats too. I am a good girl who enjoys the company of my animal and human family members. Gentle children who don’t pull or play rough with me are nice. I hear kids can learn a lot from having a dog in their life, like thinking of others and being kind.

“My joints have become a bit stiff as I’ve gotten older. It would be nice to get some help with that. I can still do stairs but they are not my favorite and the truth is I may not be able to do them well at all as I get older. I saw a vet 3 years ago for shots. I could use another check up, a wellness exam and maybe the vet can give some ideas on how to make me less achey!

“When the people leave the house, I can stay alone and wait to potty until they return. My hope would be I’d find a home where there are not long hours of “holding it”- that’s never fun for anyone!

“I am used to having friendly companions while the humans go about their days. I take turns with Bodie on who gets the couch. I don’t bark much at all.

“Walks can be fun though I’ve never had leash training. I do OK. The lab in me LOVES to play fetch! My person says that I can catch a ball like a Mariner’s outfielder! Of course, I can pay for that later with some aches. This is where that joint support will come in handy.

“If you like to give belly rubs, I am there for you! I am a world class cuddler and all around best friend. If you are looking for a new pal, I could be your gal. If you’re looking to find a pair of pals-I know a great dog named Bodie who you will love like I do! But if we need to part ways, so be it. We just need homes, ASAP.”
