Brady

“Brady“, also known as “Brady Beagle” &  “Brady Bunch”, somehow found himself living at a local humane society.  Thanks to the caring people at Old Dog Haven, he made his way to us (his permanent foster family). We believe he is around 12 years old.

He is such a proper & well-mannered gentleman, but some of his habits are also mysterious. For example, he must have been taught in his prior life that he had to stop & wait for a certain command at every doorway before going in or out. This ritual is very important to Brady! So, after trying every possible command we could think of, but not finding the correct one, we now have learned to gently maneuver him in and out of the doors!   It’s obvious that Brady was loved & trained well at some point in his life before he came to us.

And now that he’s here, Brady’s charm and kind heart have made everyone fall in love with him! He immediately fit in with his ODH sister, Kitty & rescue sister, Betty, as well as his 6 cat cousins! He’s a treasured part of our family & it’s like he’s lived here forever.

Of course, as an older dog, he does have the usual arthritis and spinal issues & he is taking medications for that. We are exploring new methods for improving his mobility, like acupuncture and laser therapy.

Meanwhile, he goes for daily walks & has lost 3 pounds, with a few more still to go!
