Brycen is an 8-year-old, very handsome, 75-pound husky. Nothing much fazes Brycen. A friendly fellow, he enjoys going to new places and loves meeting new people – toddlers, olds, or anyone in between. He also gets on well with other dogs, although he’d rather kick back and watch them than play. He is safe with the dog-savvy indoor cats that share his home, but will chase and potentially hurt cats and other small creatures that run. He has been with his family – which includes dogs, cats, livestock, and a toddler – since he was a young puppy.

Brycen is just plain easy to have around – super-chill, doesn’t jump fences or wander, and is quiet except when he hears a siren – he will harmonize! His manners are great – he is not destructive, is reliably house-trained, sits and downs on command, comes when called, and walks well on a leash. He loves going for walks and car rides, but he’s just as content to hang out at home and do nothing in particular. He is crate trained but really doesn’t need to be crated – he doesn’t get himself into trouble. He is also polite – this boy graciously welcomes visitors without jumping up on them, stealing their cookies, or otherwise demanding attention.

Be warned: his gorgeous, soft triple coat comes at a cost – he is a heavy shedder, and will give your vacuum cleaner a workout. But hey, nobody’s perfect!

Brycen has been neutered and microchipped, and is up to date on shots and free of internal and external parasites. Although technically a senior, he is in great shape – no sign of arthritis, and his teeth are good.

Brycen is posted for Hearthfire Animal Rescue Team (HART), and he is located in Kennewick, Eastern Washington. If necessary, transport can be arranged by HART to an approved adopter in the Pacific Northwest. For more information or to request an adoption application form, please email HearthfireART@gmail.com.

This is not an Old Dog Haven dog. Old Dog Haven has not assessed this dog for medical issues and will not be responsible for medical care after adoption. We urge prospective adopters to do their own evaluation.
