Bucky
Lap-warming devoted companion
Please note: The dogs in ODH's Final Refuge care are not adoptable due to medical reasons and all are in permanent homes. Your sponsorship supports the veterinary expenses for these dogs - and we thank you!
Bucky was found as a stray and taken to the shelter.
We were told he was totally blind and timid and in poor health. He was very skinny and very quiet.
Once he was placed with his Final Refuge family he quickly gained weight. After a slew of vet visits with different specialists, courtesy of Old Dog Haven and their wonderful donors, he was found to have some vision although his cataracts have worsened over time. The eye specialist has saved him a great deal of discomfort.
He is now a different dog than the little stray he once was. He doesn’t hesitate to encourage affection. His internal mealtime clock is in pristine condition. He loves his yard and sunshine and staying warm.
He is a joy to his foster family and all who meet him. He is a devoted companion who seeks to warm laps as his primary purpose in life. He likes to burrow under covers and has a knack for looking perfectly comfortable. He has brought untold love and joy to his foster family.
